Reported by Houston Bootcamps, the Houston startup ecosystem has scaled drastically in 2020. With more than technology startups in Houston, the level of innovation happening in one of the biggest cities in the United States is second to none. Houston startups have brought over one billion dollars in revenue, according to a Hexgn’s report, in 2018.
P97 Networks is no stranger to innovation and has a long record of firsts in the industry – from being the first retail fuel mobile payment solution deployed in states like Texas, Idaho, and Utah to be the first solution to support credit, debit, ACH and all leading mobile wallet payment methods without requiring additional hardware installed at fuel dispensers.
When pay-at-the-pump became available, it added a level of convenience for customers, but removing the need to enter the store hurt retail operators. We saw an opportunity to develop a platform that would engage customers and drive loyalty for gas stations and convenience stores. We’re closely aligned with leading industry standards, best practices, and associations in driving mobile payment innovation for retail fuel and convenience store businesses.
As the trusted mobile payments provider for nearly 30,000 convenience and fuel retailing sites since 2012, we are experienced in providing contactless payment options both at the pump and inside the store.
P97 Networks is proud to be listed as one of Houston Bootcamps 40 startups to watch in 2020. We would like to thank their team for the recognition and congratulate all those recognized for helping Houston become one of the biggest cities known for innovation.
