  • Lead Software Quality Assurance/Test Automation Engineer

    The P97 Networks Mobile Commerce Solutions Team is working towards launching a suite of applications for POS and customer loyalty native iPhone apps and native Android Phone apps, mobile payments and digital couponing. The software that powers these next generation applications runs on a range of mobile platforms, multi-tenant architectures and highly scalable cloud based infrastructure.

    Job Description

    The Lead SQA/Test Automation engineer will be responsible for all stages related to automated and manual test strategies for our Azure cloud, native mobile (iPhone and Android) and web portals. This includes the planning, design, implementation and execution.

    This role requires a close collaboration with QA Director with all matters pertaining to project plans, from testing strategies to risk mitigation strategies. This includes mobile apps, software utilities, web applications, relational databases and the range of azure cloud products.

    Expertise and experience in test planning and strategizing, Agile test methodologies and processes and developing manual as well as automated test scripts is a paramount requirement for the job.

    One of the challenging aspects of this position is it puts you in charge of researching, recommending and promoting the use of newly launched automation tools. This will involve emphasizing how each new tool meets our criteria by creating compelling proof of concepts.

    Other duties including building automation framework and creating a maintainable set of automation tests; creating and recording test processes, test plans, test cases; guiding and assisting the team, preparing test configurations, test execution and publishing test results.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent problem solving skills, pay close attention to detail, have high standards of quality and be a team player.

    Responsibilities

    • • Develops and implements detailed automated and manual test plans and test scripts to verify software functionality, performance, load and other attributes
    • • Creates and manages the test environment and test data
    • • Collaborates with the team, both as a mentor and team member
    • • Collaborates and communicates with the QA Director and Engineer and other members of the Engineering team
    • • Develops proof of concept and promotes the adoption of newly launched tools
    • • Researches and recommends appropriate automation tools
    • • Assesses different test procedures and processes and suggests where improvements can be made
    • • Helps the QA department meet their long and short term goals by participating in defining and applying relevant automation technologies
    • • Uses applicable automation tools for the development and maintenance of test automation applications
    • • Is a part of the review team that assesses user manuals and other technical documentation and recommends where improvements can be made
    • • Implements pertinent test methodologies for various applications, ranging from planning and collecting requirements to analyzing results and tracking defects
    • • Assesses and tests business, certification and technical requirements and recommends modifications to ensure accuracy
    • • Implements investigative testing techniques as necessary on customer and other issues
    • • Acquires keen knowledge and understanding of various web applications

    Required Skills

    • BS/MS degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related subject
    • • Experience with test management tools and be thoroughly conversant with prevailing QA and development procedures related to cloud, mobile and web software development and verification • Demonstrated proficiency to verify and validate product functionality • High standards and a passion for quality, excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and be able to quickly grasp project status that may be communicated verbally or in writing. • Able to read and interpret technical software specifications and requirements and write high quality test plans and test cases • Proficient in using automation tools to design automated tests and scripts • Able to learn and understand XML, relational database schemas and client-server or web application architecture and programs such as Java, Objective-C, C# and more • Able to multi task, adapt quickly and keep pace with the other members of the engineering team in a dynamic, fast paced environment

    Desired Experience

    • A total minimum of 10 years’ experience with software application testing – minimum 7 years must be in a responsible hands-on Quality Assurance Engineer role and 3 years of hands-on test automation experience. A minimum of 2 years of experience as test lead is desirable.

    We are looking for a Senior C# Software Developer as a member of the Integrations Team.  The integration team is responsible for the design and implementation of the necessary on-site and cloud based PetroZone Mobile Commerce Controller.  The Mobile Commerce Controller provides the necessary site connectivity, site monitoring, workflow engine, payment and loyalty systems integrations in order to provide Mobile applications the ability to purchase Fuel and to execute In-Store Mobile Payments.

    P97’s world-wide Network Operating Center (NOC) is currently seeking qualified individuals to help keep the P97 mobile platform at peak operating efficiency at all locations, coordinate new store installations and to resolve problems using standard operating procedures. The successful candidate for this role will be well-trained in product knowledge that is critical for offering quick and accurate assistance to customers.     QUALIFICATIONS

    I. Motivated self-starter with the ability to work successfully with minimal supervision
    II. Prior experience in an operations or production support role or network operating center
    III. Prior experience with customer services tools like JIRA preferred
    IV. 2 years technical training, Associates Degree preferred.
    V. Prior experience with Microsoft products like Windows, Office 365, Azure is a plus
    VI. Experience with Point of Sale or retail fueling systems is a plus
    VII. Ability to tactfully handle stressful and difficult situations
